Things That People Tell You and What They Really Mean
Words. A couple of lip movements or finger strokes; may they be oral or written, are so wacked that even people fail to understand what they really mean. We have all heard of the quote "Things aren't always what they seem" and in a sense, it is true. Sometimes, people say stuff that get the wrong interpretations because of how our society has shaped our belief.
Here are some things that people say and what they really mean:
"I love you like a brother/sister."
Falling in love with you would be incest.
"Thanks for being there to listen"
You know who else listens to me? My dog. It never helps but it sure eases the pain.
"My ex-boyfriend/ex-girlfriend is such an asshole."
And so are you.
"You’re so sweet."
And so as chocolate. Would you date chocolate?
“I’m just not ready for a boyfriend.”
Don't take the rejection too hard. I just couldn't love you more than a friend.
"Everything was true."
Did it feel like you were dreaming? Are you dumb?
"Thanks for everything"
I don't like you. I just don't want you to feel too bad about it.
"I hate you."
I love you and I hate it that you can't love me back.
"You'll be fine without me"
I am sour graping, but I don't want you to know about it.
"I'll be fine"
Shit I just want to die right now.
